Amiirah Salleh-Hoddin is an anti-racist educator, activist, and researcher. Her background is in developmental and social psychology, with a focus on marginalised minority communities’ integration and education. She is now doing her PhD in sociology, with a focus on racial equality data, at the Centre for Research on Ethnic Relations & Nationalism (CEREN) at the University of Helsinki. She previously worked as the anti-racism & equality training officer at Rauhankasvatusinstituutti (The Peace Education Institute in Finland), and still does freelance trainings for them at an international level. She is the co-founder of the Anti-Racist Forum (ARF), an NGO in Finland, as well as the former vice-chair of the European Network Against Racism (ENAR). She is also the 2018 Global Educator of the Year (awarded by Finnish Church Aid’s Teachers Without Borders), and in 2020 was selected to be part of the first cohort of the Obama Foundation’s European Leaders progamme.

Aminkeng A. Alemanji researches on issues of race, racism, antiracism and antiracism education. His research focusses on developing different strategies of antiracism education in and out of schools. He has also researched the Ethnic Profiling as well as Hate Crimes in Finland. He is currently the Head of program for the Masters of Social Exclusion and Docent in Sociology with specific expertise in Studies in Diversity at Åbo Akademi University. He is currently working on developing the first antiracism mobile application in Finland in a project (KNOWACT) funded by Academy of Finland (2018-2022) and situated at the Swedish School of Social Science, University of Helsinki.

Liban Sheikh is a master degree student of sociology at University of Tampere. He is specializing in studies concerning equality policies and anti-racism in Finland. He is currently working as a chairperson in national youth organization Left Youth of Finland (Vasemmistonuoret ry). Sheikh has worked as a research assistant during his studies in the University of Tampere and is part of the future Europe youth leaders program in Obama foundation. His work focuses towards a more sustainable and equal Finland in the future.
